Current research:
Moral progress—I argue for the self-limiting moral thinking of individuals leading progressive movements to challenge the prevailing tendency in current studies of moral progress to celebrate them as moral heroes.
Value conflict—Distinguishing between reactive and active moral agency, I contend that we should grasp how individuals are connected to and disconnected from one another from an agential perspective.
Research in progress:
Social injustice—I propose the concept of “asymmterical moral thinking” to introduce a range of pscyho-social processes that contribute to the persistence of injustice within society.
Moral Psychology—In this paper, I suggest that we look into mental mechanisms beyond emotions or reasoning to better understand individual moral judgment.
Moral change—This paper builds upon my previous works on moral reasoning and moral agency. I propose a deliberative process to explain how the very process that leads to the shift of moral views entails their entrenchment.
